Approximately six months ago, we introduced ZuluSCSI Wide, our highest-performance 16-bit Ultra Wide SCSI emulator.
Today, I'm pleased to announce the release of ZuluSCSI Ultra Wide OSHW, a true 16-bit Ultra Wide SCSI emulator, as a lower-cost alternative to our commercial ZuluSCSI Wide hardware. KiCad 9 design files, schematics, gerbers, and JLCPCB-compatible BOM can be found at https://github.com/ZuluSCSI/ZuluSCSI-Ultra-Wide-OSHW-RP2350B.
As with the commercial version of ZuluSCSI Ultra Wide OSHW also includes a dedicated hardware eject button, which can be used to send eject commands to one virtual SCSI CD-ROM drive.
ZuluSCSI Wide also supports 16-bit initiator mode, allowing you to read data from 16-bit Wide SCSI devices without the need for any adapters.
