defor I'm a Utah teapot, short and stout. Staff member May 3, 2017 #3 It'll likely clock to 40 with minimal issues, especially as there was a 40mhz version. An 060 won't work in any Mac regardless, without modifying Apple's ROM (no one has made any progress to this end even after 20+ years)

olePigeon 68040 May 3, 2017 #4 What defor said. It'll likely run at 40MHz. If it doesn't, you can stick a fan from a 486 on it. Keep it cool.
