Installing a fan in the x400

Gil

68000
I have a 6400/5400 motherboard that I would like to install a fan into, for processor cooling. One thing I noticed that is different about the x400 mobo and the 5500/6500 is that the x400 does NOT have the connections for a fan near the main mobo connector at the top of the board, whereas the 5500/6500 board does. There IS a 3-pin power-looking connector near the DIMM and Cache slots, by the serial ports. But I'm not sure if that can accomodate a fan. Any ideas?

Just use one of those disk drive Y-adapters. At least you know that's connected to power.
