Info on a PB G3 Bronze Keyboard

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a G3 off of eBay:

Macintosh PowerBook G3, 400MHz, Vintage, Macintosh Laptop, Works, Mac OS 9.1 | eBay

Macintosh PowerBook G3, 400MHz/1MB Cache/64MB/8MB Video, this is used and has been wiped to install a fresh copy of OS 9.1. The battery is dead. Sold as is. PowerBook 400MHz/1MD Cache/64MB/8MB Video.

Just looking to see if these can use the iBook G3 yo-yo adapter or 1400 adapter. Anything else that I need to know about these machines? I have never had a G3 PowerBook before.

These can use the Yo-yo adapter. Apple even replaced the old Wallstreet power adapters with Yo-yos back in the day.

There are two different yoyos though. You want the one with the bigger (wider) tip. On ebay these are usually more expensive (about $115) unfortunately. Also. Not to be confused with the iBooks g4 yoyos which have a narrower tip.

Wow!

Looking at my Pismo's original power supply, which I'm still using, it's 24v just under 2A. Suitable power supplies spec wise are easy to find, but I've never looked for the connector itself.

What's more is that the G4 and G3 power adapters have the same part number. Go figure.
