imagewriter ribbons

I just got my Imagewriter I up and running, finally, and unfortunately I only have one spare ribbon for it, so I'd like to get some more, and I wondered if they use the same types as the Imagewriter II, or some other type of printer .

Thanks!

Afaik they use the same. My OfficeMax sells them for $7.99. Usually they have 15% off anything with a certain coupon, so look in the Sundays ads. They're not expensive or anything, but they could be cheaper.

Indeed, the ribbons are interchangeable. A colour ribbon won't work in an Imagewriter I but the monochrome works great.

The coupon Patrick is referring to is actually a paper bag that looks like the kind you get at the supermarket in my area. I'm not sure if it's different in the area of Ohio he lives in or in other regions of the United States but around here in Pittsburgh it's a big paper sack that you can stuff as much into as possible for a big discount (I got a LaserJet toner with that last year and if you need something like 9V batteries for your smoke detector, stock up!) The bag was in my paper last Sunday so if it wasn't in last week's it should be in today's.
