iMac g4 bottom case cover spacer puck?

I don't really know what to call this thing but it's glued to the inside of the iMac G4 bottom case cover. It seems to be made of some sort of silicone or teflon or something soapy feeling. Anyway, this thing pretty much disintegrated on one of my iMacs. I want to replace it because it's a spacer of some sort. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could use? here's a pic:

Some sort of soft thin rubber could be substituted - try your foam/rubber store for an offcut?

I'm looking for a piece of teflon actually. Foam would disintegrate from the heat and won't provide the support this thing provides.

Teflon tape for drawer slides and such is available in a variety of thicknesses. I don't know if it gets that thick though. I bought some once to try to replace mouse slides with. It's a pain to cut it in just the right shape, but that's irrelevant to this topic.

You might also look at table leg slides and such.

I think you’re misinterpreting what I’ve said - in Australia where have a chain of stores that sell rubber and foam in many sizes and thicknesses; so you’d look for the rubber …
