iMac G3 DV Analog Board Recap Preparation

I'm planning on recapping my iMac G3 analog board and neck board. I know I have to discharge the CRT, but I thought I read somewhere that there may be charges stored elsewhere that need to be discharged. Is there anything to be aware of besides discharging the tube on an iMac G3 DV? I can't find much info online. Most of the info I find is about tray loader G3's.

Can't say I know anything but you could always let the Mac discharge for a week or so to make sure no capacitors have much charge left.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking the same thing. I'll discharge the CRT, and I'm going to discharge the large 400V 560uf cap, and then probably give it about a week or so to sit before I start work on it.

Sounds good. I've never opened the AB side of my slot loaders but I do have experience on the Tray Loader. Let me know if you need any more advice though!
