Hey, figured it was about time to start one of these.

I just got something cool, and although it is not mac related, it is a cool conquest if you like old tech.

I picked up a Sony Watchman FD-230 for $10.75 shipped on eBay, and I modded it to accept composite video, based on some instructions I found on ThinkClassic.

I like these TVs because of their amazing CRT design, and compactness, but still having a proper tube and not an LCD.

I would think you could make a neat scope out of one!

Yay, a super cool conquest today!!  I just got, for free,  a PowerBook 145B.  But not just any PB145B!  It is running japanese system 7.1, and it has a dual language keyboard.

I got it from someone who I was doing computer work for, and they bought it used in japan.  I'll post some pictures soon.  Unfortunately, I can't read japanese.

It is in great shape, and it even has the port door.
