A couple of months ago, I decided to slow down on my conquests. I'm running down on space and time to take care of all that stuff. But there are some times I can't resist. It's been a win week-end!
I already told you about the Apple ][ Europlus I got on saturday. Hardly had I time to play a bit with it, and on monday morning I had a big box in the mail. I completely forgot about it, but it was a PowerMac 8200/100 I got for next to nothing (approximately $1 + $12 shipping) on a local auction site. It's in good condition, though having only 32 Mb of Ram and one 1.2 Gb HD. Sadly no cool PCI card forgotten inside!
But wait, the best is yet to come! On monday afternoon, I had an appointment with a guy who wanted to get rid of Mac-related stuff. And that was my biggest win in a while: I scored a PM 9600/300 full with 860 Mb (!) of Ram, three HDs (40 Gb and 20 Gb ATA, 10 Gb SCSI), an Acard 6280M PCI card, a USB 1/FireWire 400 PCI card, keyboard and mouse. This on is about to replace my 9500 as my main Old World machine.
Apart from the PowerMac, I also received a couple of boxes full with loads of CDs (about 150, mostly original software and sharewares compilations), loads of floppies (about 200, also mostly original software), loads of cables and adapters (always good to have enough in stock), a JAZ drive with seven cartdriges, an Olitec analog modem, a fast SCSI PCI card, some Ram, etc, etc.
All in all, enough work for the next several nights to sort all of it through!
