Httpd4Mac

My first historic web server live in production is httpd4Mac on my Macintosh Plus. I’m getting to know the application better and better. The latest version is from around March 1995. This server doesn’t support HTTP/1.1. This means that modern browsers get a 400 error if they access the server. I found a work around for this by editing the 400 hard coded page in the code with Resedit. Yesterday I found an other way to change the code.

In the part DATA is a line where the server waits for and GET ..HTTP/1.0 request. I have changed that into a HTTP/1.1. Now the default HTTP protocol is 1.1. I didn’t succeeded in changing it to 1.0 together with 1.1. Any help on this is welcome.

You can see it live on my virtual Basilisk Mac: http://macplus.webservermuseum.org:81

If somebody want to try it self, just give me and email: suppost (at) webservermuseum.org.
