How to reset password in OS8.6 and Powerbook540c

Hi. Hope all are safe. 

I have forgotten my password as it has been a long time since I needed to use it.

I wish  to reset my password in OS8.6 on my Powerbook540c.

I am using AppleTalk to connect my 'new' Powerbook 1400c to the 540c. 

How can I reset my password please?

If it is just your file sharing password, it is as simple as using the Sharing control panel to change it. There is nothing to reset: just type in a new one over your previous one.
