How can I tell if an SE/30 tube is still good?

I have an SE/30 that was extremely dead, battery corrosion on motherboard destroyed basically everything.  On the analog board, one of the four-pin power connectors was severely burned along with several traces, and the back of the flyback transformer was cracked/crispy-looking.

All that aside, I don't actually have any idea if the CRT itself is good or bad.

Would there be anything obvious to look for?  I'd hate to toss something that someone might need.

In short of a CRT tester, you could clean off and look at the back of the electron gun. If you see any bluing in the cathode area then its heavily used. Otherwise its still fine.

That, and of course, burn-in.
