Horizontal lines on PowerBook 180c

Hello!

I was recently given an old PowerBook 180c that has been lying on a shelf for almost 20 years. This is my first "antique" Mac, I am new to this community  :)

Its condition is almost perfect. However, the screen sometimes has darker horizontal lines when displaying large white areas. I uploaded a photo because it's hard to explain in words.

It's especially visible when opening a window or highlighting menu items.

This is maybe a common problem but I couldn't find anything by searching the forums. Is it fixable?

Thanks!

If it's like the 180 not-c, then it might be caused by leaky caps causing shorts on the LCD board surrounding the LCD.

Isn't this a passive matrix display? I'm pretty sure this is normal, albeit probably made worse by leaky caps.

Replacing them will likely reduce it but it's not likely to eliminate it due to the nature of them kind of display's.
