Well, as you all remember, I had an incident after trying to overclock an eMac (my last one) when I go to post on craigslist about the issue and doing a trade for a board. Well... It kinda went like this:
Guy responds, says he has eMacs he needs fixed. Well, i get one up, the other (which I was going to keep) died on me during the install. Dead as a doornail. So, i deal with the guy again. The guy doesn't know this, but he brought me another one, that is not exactly like the other one. It's different, but it's actually the same model as my last one. Well, there was a problem. No video. System turned on, loaded. But no CRT. ok... Analog board is bad.
So I hauled out the carcus from the previous wreck that I caused. Popped the board out of the dead machine, into my system. It works!!! I am currently installing Leopard (Into the 2nd hour of install. Dang Apple) using a modified DVD-R DL. It's going well. I would also like to let you know that I ****ed up the antenna connector that connects from the eMac to the Airport card. The system CAME with an Airport card, which I am selling to a friend, but since it will be on a wired network, it's really no biggy. Not worth fixing.
Anyways, specs:
DVD/CD-RW (DVD Function not working. had the SAME problem with my last eMac)
80GB HDD (upgraded it from 40 while I was in it)
1GB (2x 512MB) PC-133
Fresh PRAM Battery.
Airport card (antenna not usable)
White Apple Keyboard (Taken from my mom's iMac, gonna get an aluminum for it
, my mom already got one)
Might mouse (my mom got a logitech m600, same as mine)
Stand (swivel)
and...!! Leopard!!! (Well, i already owned this
)
but anyways, I will let you guys know how it runs with these improvements
