Trying to get Classic support and OS 9 running on my late 2002 iBook g3 800mhz. I can't find the install discs with the extensions for classic.

I've looked all over the internet and there isn't any disc images for it.

Just downloaded it
Won't boot from cd but is read by the system. Had this problem with 10.4 discs
Was able to get it to boot by setting it as the startup disc, graphics don't work with it. Radeon 7500 mobility.
No hard disk was detected either
Discovered I had a genuine 9.2 disc around and it actually worked
Still no hard drive though, read the rom is too old
I need the original disks for it to actually work

You shouldn't need any special disk to install on that iBook. Make sure your hard drive has OS 9 drivers installed! You check this option during the format process, and without it, you will have detection issues. You may need to format.

Hi, provide me your mac model.. I will try to find it when I get off work this evening for you. If Macintosh Garden had my 1ghz Titanium G4 original discs, then they should also have the system you own too.

I remember there was an Apple recall on the optical drive on your iBook when it was new 2003? Apple said the replacement optical drive was more reliable, but it would not boot into OS9. Owners had to decide if the upgrade was worth it.

No, I don't. I did get it to boot again after a pram reset and os 9 works now.
