Hello guys,
I have a Macintosh SE/30 which I have bought off somebody. I have thoroughly cleaned the macintosh analog and logic board. when I say thoroughly cleaned meaning, I have recapped it, removed all the corrosion from all the chips and bits and also re soldered all the joints on the analog and the logic board. Re soldered all the joints on the yoke connector aswell.
I have also tested the analog board with a second macintosh se logic board and the analog board works perfectly fine. When I put the analog board back into the first macintosh and turn it on, the macintosh turns on and the normal bong can be heard however there is a bright horizontal line in the middle of the screen.
I have read all the forums claiming that its an analog board for sure but like I've said I've already tested the analog board with a different logic board and it works perfectly fine so its definitely the logic board which has the problem.
i have tried the logic board with a different set of ram chips but still to no avail. I have also read the famous (The dead Mac Scrolls) book but it doesn't have any such topic like this. So as a last option I decided to seek help from here.
Macintosh SE/30
-Analog board been cleaned thoroughly
-logic board been cleaned properly and blown with a compressor
-All the capacitors been replaced with new ones
-Corrosion been removed from everywhere
-All the components solder been refreshed on the analog and logic board
-Hard drive works perfectly fine
-Bong can be heard
JUST A BRIGHT HORIZONTAL LINE SHOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN
SEE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS POST PLEASE
Awaiting Help
Thank you very much
