Help needed with SE/30, Daystar Turbo + Ethernet Card

Got any more info on how the artefacts look like? We had a thread on screen artefacts with multiple PDS cards here:

Are yours similar?

I would say I am 100% certain that the issue is not with your TwinSpark adapter.

I was experiencing weird behaviour in certain combinations of PDS cards and accelerators with my own adapters as well and also was seeing the exact same artefacts hfrazier has on his SE/30 with two PDS cards added.

It turned out to be a logicboard issue for hfrazier and I did not look into the issue on my end any further, but expect it to be logicboard-related as well. For now I just avoided the PDS/accelerator combinations that caused it.

@Bolle thank you for your reply. My screen issues are different to that - I get random horizontal lines flickering across the width of the screen when opening windows or moving the mouse - however they don't persist on the screen. It only happens with 2 PDS cards installed.

But you could be right about the logic board - I didn't consider that. It sounds like I need to find another SE/30 for parts - that way I can test both the logic board and the power supply.

I have another Ethernet card that I've tried - an Exelan Kinetics one, and I get exactly the same issue - which is a pity because like you said it's just a matter of finding a combination that works.

I finally resolved this problem - it was the logic board. After repairing another logic board I had, both the Daystar Turbo and the Ethernet card work together without issue.

Happy Days.
