Help me about price of Macintosh 128

Hallo,

sorry for my bad English.. :-)

I can buy Macintosh 128 with keyboard, mouse and bag in perfect condition. In my country these computers are very rare. Seller wants about 1.000USD for this computer. I tried look at the ebay and in this time, there are not any Mac 128 for matching prices.

Is good deal Macintosh 128 for 1.000USD???

for him yes, but not for you :) ... there will come cheaper one for sure, ... well he will drop price as nobody will buy it ...

one thousand (as an American, I was confused by your use of a period (1.000) as we use a comma (1,000) for whatever reason) is far too much for a 128k Mac as far as im concerned - unless maybe there's something very special about it.

Pricing has gotten ridiculous for these lately. I wouldn't bother. If you have website like Freecycle or Craigslist in your area, I'd keep checking them. Also check charity shops, pawn brokers, junk shops, used computer dealers, etc. ebay prices are just getting out of control.

Prices have been really, really disappointing lately. I mean, who is buying this stuff?!
Here's an SE/30 motherboard going for $63 with $15 shipping with over an hour left.

As much as I would love to sell my 128k, se/30 mb, and a slew of other

compact macs for the BIG SCORE, I wince at doing so...that's just being

@#$%ing greedy....and greedy I try not to be....(within reason)

we use a comma (1,000) for whatever reason
For the reason of differentiating tenths of a Dollar. For if we used periods instead of commas, how would one write $1,500.53? Does "$1.500.53" look nice?

Equally as interesting, I see many Europeans who use a common in place of a period, such as $500,53 instead of $500.53 as we write in the USA (and Japan). But how then does one write a longer figure? Like this: $1,500,53? Where 53 is the change?

Perhaps I am just biased, but I like the use of a comma and period as we normally use in the American numerical system. It just makes more logical sense and avoids confusion.

:-x

Let a .NET program, created in the US-American Culture settings without thinking an i18n, write floating point values to a file, and then, when run on a DE-German Culture setting, try to read them, and you'll hate the point and comma freakiness.

1.000,00 is perfect for me

1,000.00 for americans

10.00,00 have fun....
