That is an insane number of DAT drives!! If you ever consider selling one let me know if pay very fair. Or I'd consider trading a hard drive with tray for an use in an ANS.

CC, yes, I will probably be parting with one of the ANSes.  They are large, and I think one is probably enough for me.  Once I figure out the parts situation and operational status, I'll know a little more what to do.  Not sure where in Cali you are, but perhaps we could arrange a midway meet up.

maceffects, I will also keep you in mind when I consolidate/minimize.  I don't think I need 4 DATs, but I know I want a working one and maybe a backup.

I think you can use the guts from a normal DAT drive in those sleds if the drive has failed. What speed are they DDS2/3/4?

I'm near Sacramento and San Francisco, so kinda just north of central CA. I see your in Idaho, so would the midpoint between us be somewhere in Oregon? There's a very slim chance I'll be going through OR next summer, but I really don't know for sure.
