since it's up and down i'll set my server to make a compleat archive of it overnight.

Then put them all back up online

It's an Akamai pool so it will be luck of the draw which server in the pool you connect to and if that server still has the files or not. If you're wget-ting the thing, be sure you don't have a bunch of 404's.

Yeah, i'm wget-ing it, and am getting a ton of 404's (and unfortunatley there is no way to force retry on a 404)

Just gonna have to keep running over it till it gets everything (or manually fill the blanks....)

Already on my third pass over it seem to be getting only 1 - 2 GB a pass, not sure how much there is in total

i'm up to 8.62GB, which is proabley about right then

Going through and doing individual wgets of each directory, then i will do a manual compare.....

interestingly i have slightly less than you for english_north_american (1.0GB) but more for english_international (365mb)

Got the same for MultiContry (1.2GB)

EDIT: Looks like i have a compeleat mirror now, will put it up somewhere tomorrow, then will do a manual compare

If there's no objections, it would be superb.

I would volunteer, but a) I don't have the bandwidth (and our ISP won't allow servers) and B) there's plenty of other people for whom this would be simpler.

Of course not! I'm just saying that it's a private affair for MLA members only, and it would be completely unrelated to the forum otherwise (it would be hosted separately from the forum, probably by which ever member(s) volunteer to make it happen).

You can tell people about it privately, you can tell people about it via other means (say, Google+ or Twitter), but not on the forums.

Well, i shall be hosting a copy (which of coarse will be elseware, and not related to here in any way). I personally will not be limiting it to a invite only basis, there's plenty of people out there who use this resource for restoring macs, but would never find it if it was invite only.

If anyone else is wanting to pull down there own copy just contact me and i am happy to help you in creating your own archive of it
