getting untested Quadra 840 AV

Hi, after some search managed to find a mighty Quadra 840AV. The problem is it's being sold as is, untested. 

Bearing in mind the appearance of Mac Classic leaking caps and PRAM battery disaster I was thinking how bad this model of Quadra can be over many years of negligence? Would like to hear opinions based on your experience. Thanks!

Hi, the quadra usually suffers from leaking smd caps as many other macs of this era... But it's not always so bad as the motherboard is vertical and that prevents damage a little bit... In mine I replaced the capacitors only recently (8 month ago or so) and everything is fine!

For the pram battery just hope it isn't a maxell... The best is to open it before buying to see how it seems, or if not possible ask the seller to take photos of the logic board before your purchase
