Although I've been using Macs since 1993, I have actually never had a chance to play with a Newton based device before, so I'm really looking forward to it.
I think a few of us Aussies will be in eMate love by early next week, LCGuy Hoping that my (sight unseen) unit will be in similar condition to yours. Like you, I never really dabbled in Newton back in the day, and I'm hoping to give it a shot. Have a few PCMCIA cards I've held onto that should hopefully suit the eMate. Also have a Newton 2100 and Newton H1000/OMP devices - I love PDAs/small factor computers, and seeing what can be done with them.
I also downloaded the "Newton Museum" torrent which purported to have a lot of software - some commercial - my advice, don't bother. It's a bit of a mess of stuff and nothing you can't really obtain off UNNA or other newton software webrings.
Byrd: Ooh, you got one too? Good luck, hope yours shows up in good condition. I don't have any PC cards at all really, apart from a modem (how exciting) and a WaveLAN card, I've been meaning to buy a CompactFlash adapter + card for a while...perhaps I should actually get around to buying one.
