G4 Upgrades on OEM cards

I have been reading quite a bit about how certain G4 chips are pin compatible with G4 chips. This got me thinking... I have a 1.33Ghz 12 inch powerbook that is parts only, a dead Mac Mini G4 1.25Ghz, and a dead Mac Mini G4 1.42 Ghz.

I have. a Yikes G4 and a Pismo that could both benefit from these CPUs if possible. The G3 zif cards are pretty cheap and the parts computers must have cache chips on them.

I am wondering if it is simple as busting out my hot air station and moving some chips over to make a DIY accelerator.

Any thoughts?

The G4s in those systems won't work, they're all newer G4s with different pinouts from the original 7400 and 7410 (like the Yikes is using), which are the only ones compatible with the original 750(L) pinout (like the Pismo is using).
