FDHD Part Numbers

I have an SE that works very well (at least the last time I had it out of its box), but I've been looking at converting this plain Jane SE to an SE FDHD. Now, I do understand the concept of finding an FDHD logic or an SE/30 logic, but I'd like to try and roll my own. I've done the research and realize that I need to put the SWIM (344–0062) at D8, the High ROM (342–0701) at D6, and the Low ROM (342–0702) at D7. I've seen the locations and feel pretty confident about actually replacing the parts.

My problem is finding these parts. I've Googled and all that comes back is that I need those three parts (plus the 1.4 MB drive itself, of course), but not a source where they might be available. Are these parts that can be found from Radio Shack, or JAMECO, or something like that? If so what would be the part numbers from those sources?

You won't find a SWIM or Mac ROM's at any parts store, since they're proprietary to Apple Computer.

The disk drive would be more likely since it is a Sony mechanism, if it were still being sold today, which I doubt.

You need to find another SE FDHD or equivalent machine to snag parts from (probably a beat one with a dead screen).

What Unkown K said. There was a kit sold by Apple, and occasionally such things show up on eBay (though rare), but it would be a shame to actually USE it to upgrade an SE at this point as it's collectable value would be substantial. The only way to do it practically and in any kind of timely manner, is to pull them from a dead SE FDHD logicboard or upgraded SE logicboard. Or just get yourself a working FDHD logicboard which turn up much more often. Likewise for pulling a 1.44MB drive, though reconditioned drives along with 400K & 800K capacities routinely turn up on eBay. This is true for almost all the "roll-your-own" upgrades. The kits that made it possible simply do not exist anymore.
