Email with System 7.5.5

Heyday,

I wanna get email working on my SE/30 connected to the internet using OpenTransport 1.3 and an Ethermac card.

I've tried hunting for Claris Emailer, but can only find updates. So I tried Netscape 2.0.2, and set up a free POP3/SMTP account at gmx.co.uk.

Nothing. If you have done it, how?

How do I setup Fetch 2.1.2 to FTP to Mac OS X?

I'm doing it in System 6.0.8...the AppleShare in 6.0.8 is too old to work. (I tried WorkStation 3.5 and System 7's AppleShare and nothing worked to connect).

I got Fetch 2.1.2 working under 7.5.5, just can't do it with 6.0.8.

Now I have heard some use their Classic Macs for email, what clients are y'all using and with what service? I have tried at least 4, and nothing seems to work.
