eMac No power

Hi there,
I have a eMac that i picked up recently. It worked and turned on but it had a broken DVD drive. So i opened it up and replaced the drive and it works. Except the DVD drive gets stuck trying to open. I take it back apart and reposition the drive but now it doesn't power on. The capacitor's look bad but they worked yesterday.
Thanks

If the capacitors are bad you should replace them, or have someone do it for you. That is what is causing the power issues on the eMac. I would also suggest to check the analog board for any bad caps, because those can fail too. A lot of eMacs were made during the height of the capacitor plague, so replacing the capacitors on the motherboard (the surface mount ones usually don't fail, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace those too) and down converter is strongly recommended.

Go back in you've left something unplugged. They don't just up and fail after you taken it apart.
