So I recently purchased an eMac from craigslist for $10. On wikipedia it said that this model could be either the orignal eMac or 2nd Gen with ATI Graphics. The sticker on the inside of the white CD tray reads the following specs: "G4-800/256/60/Super/56k/NVID/FW/110v/OSX". From I gather from this sticker and the System Profiler, its a 800 MHz PowerPC G4, came with 256MB of RAM, 60GB Hard Drive, SuperDrive, 56k Dial-Up modem, NVIDA Graphics, FireWire, and came with OS X. From System Profiler, it says it has 100 MHz Bus Speed (1st Gen only) and reads "eMac (Version = 2.1)". I can't figure out what model this is! Wikipedia says the ATI Graphics SuperDrive model came with 256MB of RAM. I really need to know because I want to put a Wi-Fi card in and don't know if I need the AirPort Extreme (ATI Graphics and up) or the regular AirPort card.
Also, will the original AirPort card work with the current (5th Gen) AirPort Extreme base-station on a 5 GHz band or do I need to create a 2.4 GHz band?
Thanks.
Btw, I typed this post on the eMac it's self by plugging in my MacBook Pro via an ethernet cable and turning on Internet Sharing.
