I'm new to the forum but I've been looking around for some time to see if anyone offers a repair service for the 1.4MB Sony Superdrive. I have a drive in my SE and there seems to be an issue with the auto-inject/eject. IF I can manage to get the disk inserted correctly the drive will read properly however more often than not I hear a racket coming from the drive when a disk is inserted. Does anyone know of someone offering a reconditioning service? I'm comfortable removing the drive from the computer however anything more than that and I'm afraid it's beyond me.
