Does the DP G4 800mhz Quicksilver use thermal pads or paste?

As I go through this system I'd like to replace the thermal paste if it uses it. But it seems like I saw somewhere that some G4s used thermal pads? Is there a guide for removal of the CPU card and heatsink?

Does a pad need to be used if you just replace it with thermal paste? I did that in my Pismo and it seems to be working fine

they use these weird stick on thermal sheets cut into smaller pieces, but thermal paste can be used to replace it. i normally do this with all the machines i get.

Yeah my Pismo had one basically adhered to the heatsink but i scraped it off and dissolved the rest with alcohol lol
