Diagnosing DNS issues with OpenTransport

I'm trying to reach a .ai site from my SE/30, and I'm encountering lots of weirdness seemingly related to DNS.

Is there any way to see OpenTransport DNS internals more clearly so I can diagnose better? (Alternatively I suppose I can wireshark stuff on the "modern" side of my link.)

But the basic problem is that I can connect via IP address, but connecting by hostname don't work.

Is that the problem you had?
