DaynaPORT SCSI/Link-T adapter

Hi All,

I've got my hands on Dyna a scsi to ethernet adapter (DaynaPORT SCSI/Link-t ). But I don't have a power adapter for it. I've tried a multi-adapter and tried various voltages for it up to 12v but it doesn't power on. If anyone has one of these that are working can you tell me the specs on the adapter?

Also, if anyone can point me to a user manual that would be great.

I'm hoping to get my Mac Plus on the network with this unit.

I've got the DaynaPORT Pocket SCSI/Link & manual if that'd be any help. Mine's for the PowerBooks, but it has a 25 pin connector as well. It runs off ADB power, so I can't help you with the AC Adapter Spec. any more than that. I'd be surprised if it were much different though.

I can buzz the cable and tell you the shell/pin polarity, but you're far better off checking for the Power/Ground polarity of your connector on the Logic Board.

Is Dayna still in business?

It runs off ADB power

5V DC, max 500mA (on a Powerbook, more likely to be around 200mA). Please use a regulated power supply. More current (mA) is fine, more voltage is not.

It's 5v centre positive polarity I believe.

I've done some searching and testing and have heard that these units require a 12v center positive adapter. I tried a couple that I have and found one that works. It's a 12v center positive 300ma.

According to the manual for the Pocket SCSI, it's a 5V, 1.0 Amp power supply.

To add to the specs of the power supply: it needs to be center positive for the Pocket SCSI/Link.
