I couldn't find anyone who lived in Chicago, so I'll pass on this tremendous deal I found on Craigslist. I called the guy to see if he'd ship, but he'd only deal with money grams, so I had to pass. Maybe someone local can snag it up, heck of a deal. It's a computer shop, and he said he recapped the motherboard. Sounds like a good deal.

It does sound like a good deal. However, a IIfx should not need recapping. They came with tantalums on the board and no electrolytics. Now, tantalums may wear out eventually too, but they won't leak corrosive goo onto the logic board.

Anomalies such as this in a description always make me question whether the seller really has what they say they have.
