I bought this Communication Slot Thin Ethernet card some time ago for my Performa 5200. The computer detects it, but produces an error when I attempt to switch the AppleTalk connection to this card. Probably no driver issue, I tried this on multiple fresh installs from 7.5 to 8.5.
I think the cable is properly terminated (T-piece with Terminator on both ends; the other end is on an Ethernet hub to bridge to normal twisted pair Ethernet.
A LC PDS Twisted Pair Ethernet card works nicely on the same machine, but I have no other ComSlot Mac to test the card elsewhere…
Any suggestions?
