Comprehensive comp.binaries.mac Archive

I am pleased to present what I believe is the first online, comprehensive archive of the comp.binaries.mac Usenet newsgroup. This newsgroup, started in April 1987, contains nearly 3,000 Macintosh programs/files. The last posting is from June 1996.

This archive was created by merging two separate archives together: the UTZoo archive, which provided the posts from 1987 up to July 01, 1991; and the funet.fi archive, which provided the remainder of the posts up to 1996. I located a third archive from a Japanese site, but I have not merged its contents yet, since the posts appear to intersect with those from the funet.fi archive.

The comp.binaries.mac Usenet archive was extended from 8,179 posts to a grand 9,318 posts by merging in the third archive. It did, in fact, have posts which weren't in the other two.
