Compact on a Chip?

To my knowledge, the Amiga hasn't been implemented on a single chip. It's chipset has though, and it's called a Minimig.

To my knowledge, the original PacMan would have been a much, much simpler machine than a Mac Plus but I have no doubt that the Plus would be relatively simple to clone with a reduced chipset.

Agreed - Pacman was much, much simpler than a plus.

However the Amiga would be comparable. It's just no-one in Macland has had the persistence to do what the Minimig guy did. And I wouldn't know how well the Mac chipset is documented compared to the Amiga.

As I understand it, stage II of the Minimig was to incorporate a softcore 68000 onto the FPGA.
