Colour classic was alive, then it died

Hi all, again, so as the title says it’s a colour classic..

I’ll try to keep this brief..  as usual I recapped both boards, with emphasis on the analogue,

and hey presto, soft start, and eventually power

was restored, the machine functioned once again. I was very happy ,

then last week I switched it on for photos, and the hard drive was not recognised, so all the checking began,

after the Mac was back together, nothing, nada, dead !! No fan activity, no clunk when power was switched on, just a very feint hum,

power is going in, so I changed the TDA 4605-2 control ic , both of them, nothing.

I really need some help, any usual suspects that I should be checking, replacing?

so much info for classics, but never for colour classics.

if you need photos happy to oblige,

many thanks in advance

Ermmmm, the power switch turned on around the back? It’s happened before.

Beyond that, a member called eQuill on here years ago used to say that very occasionally a CC needs to be left plugged in for a day or two to sort of wake up before booting is attempted. No idea why, nor do I have firsthand experience of the anomaly, but I kept that in my mental filing cabinet because a) I have a CC, and b) he knew his stuff.

Hi,  the Mac is switched on, rear casing removed ,

I can hear power going to the crt,  but no life

soft power no longer works.

even with motherboard removed, there is no change
