Color classic working well.

Well I have my non modified CC running to get files to my portable, games and such. It has 10 Meg's of ram, installed FPU, thousands of colors with a 1.2 gig hard drive. I love the machine because it just works. Have a zip, CDROM, with external hard drive for back up it does all my needs. Someday I may bite the bullet and get a network card but floppies are the fun of doing all of this, to me lol.

did you end up re-capping the A/B or Mainboard?

nope not yet, no whine, no whistle so Ill let it be at the moment. All I did was take out battery, put in ram and vram, and new hard drive and woosh it goes. Im on borrowed time I know but it doesn't smell , well actually smells like fresh plastic. Im not sure it was ever used. It came in the box you saw. It was missing the accessories in the box but not much else.

I'm not a great fan of the CCs, but I'm glad to hear that someone has a positive story to share with us! I mean, something other than "Need help with...".

The color classic was the first used Mac I ever got a hold of. In a move the case was broken so I glued it back together and used it for a long time , that was 15 years ago. When I finally let it go it was sad. But the new one I have is a beastie and since I never have to move again I'm golden.

The Color Classic I got from macdrone last year still works great.

Did a re-cap on the main board, however it was still working with out the re-cap.

But i did notice they were leaking.

I like it, a very capable/useful machine.
