Only if your pismo has an upgrade card in it, then it might not enable the L2 cache on the upgrade card. At least that's what my PowerMac 6100 is doing. 
I don't remember if I ever mentioned it. But I seem to remember trying Classilla on a PB5300 with Mac OS 8.1. Little buggy, but it worked. Really slow cause I was going through Appletalk. (The printer port.)
