Classic II + ethernet

I don't remember anymore, it's been a long time, is there the possibility to install an ethernet card inside the Mac Classic II and use a specific ethernet model with its MacOS System (if so, starting from which version of MacOS System?) ?
To use the Mac as a simple email client

If not, is there any modern interface hardware that takes advantage of the Mac Classic II own din serial connector (or other connector internal or external) to have an RJ45 ethernet to use with the MacOS System internal TCP/IP protocol + email client?

If so, what do you recommend as an email client?, if possible it can handle IMAP, otherwise POP3/SMTP is also fine

MacIP or A2Server can be solutions with a raspberry pi. But you need a locatalk/ethernet bridge (software or hardware).
Otherwise you can use a scsi to ethernet device, if you can find one.
The classic II has no expansion slot. So I do not know of an inside solution.

Or the RaSCSI are options I think? Really sorry but I don't have experience with either.

Agreed that a SCSI to Ethernet adapter or a RaSCSI are the way to go. With the RaSCSI, you'll also get other emulated SCSI devices (HD's, CDROM drives, etc) and the ability to print to modern printers.
