CD-ROM jumper setttings

A while ago I replaced my G4's CD-ROM with a DVD-ROM. After the change the Mac would no loner boot from the DVD drive, even though it came from another blue G4. It worked fine in OS 9. Today while working on the machine I noticed the jumper on the DVD-ROM was in the wrong spot. Changing the jumper made the mac able to boot from the drive again. I hadden't noticed this since I assumed like a PC it would not work at all. I thought this was an easy thing to get messed up so I thought I would share it with the cumminity.

Master/Slave/Cable Select Settings can be a rabid female dog if one is not paying attention to what is going on. But it is a WHOLE LOT Simpler than SCSI!!!
