Bootprio Extensions

I'm a total noob when it comes to MacOS hence this maybe simple question I'm trying to find out how to change the bootprio/order of extensions loading into my System 7.0.1 (I think) - SE/30. I have a Carerra 040 card and I want the driver te believe it's booting into another system via WishIWere to set the GestalltID to a IIcx or IIx. But it has to do that before the driver loads which it doesn't atm. I'm using the WiW option because the 'adjusted' drivers for the SE/30 I got from the forum (Bolle's topic) doesn't seem to do the trick.

I believe it’s alphabetical, so you can change the order by renaming them.

Putting extra spaces at the start of the filename will also place that item ahead of everything else.

I still wonder why the patched control panel doesn't want to work for you...
You did remove the unpatched one from the control panels folder when you put in the patched one, didn't you?

There's a couple of exceptions to the alphabetical rule: extensions that implement either writing systems or network interfaces (IIRC) load before anything else (and have special file types to denote that). In this case that's just pedantry but it's worth filing at the back of your head somewhere that some extensions are special and load really early.

Tangential parallel problem with a (possibly) relevant solution: There's a modification that can be performed on INITs to change load order with ResEdit as well. This case is related to a 603-to-G3 upgrade (details in link), but TL;DR is that seems to be an option.

It is what I meant, yes 'scri' is the type for script (as in writing systems, not programming languages) support extensions. I only know this because I was trying to get Force32 loading early...
