I thought I would start a new tread just on the 640 X 480 Mysic mod for the Color Classic. I have counted four different mods.
Thanks all for the many tips!! One reason for not doing the 640 X 480 mod just yet, is that it seems to be several ways to do it. Some mods say that they put less stress on the analog board and/or CRT. I have not figured out which mod to do yet.
Rather then do the standard Mystic mod, I have mostly been looking at Chris Lawson's
VGA mod. I look at it because it appears to put less voltage onto the analog board. The "normal" mod will up the voltage to 80 volts. Chris's VGA mod will up the voltage to 68.4V.

Can any one think of a better, safer (for the hardware) this this? I want to keep my Sony CRT - no LED or LCD for me!
In the above mod, Chris says that this will not work on a Color Classic Board. But will it work on a Color Classic II board? My realy cool, Color Classic II logic board is my back up board and I like it very much.
I need to test my 575 logich board. So I guess I had better pick a 640 X 480 mod and get going. Suggestions as to which 640 X 480 mod is the best?
