Beige G3 Mac OS 8.6 USB support

I cannot seem to get Mac OS 8.6 USB drivers to work.
I bought a pci USB card with this controller chip:



I've tried several different USB extensions on Macintosh Repository, but nothing I've tried has worked. Devices and Volumes recognizes that a USB card is connected, but nothing actually works. I'm trying to connect a flash drive and a USB epson scanner to it.

FWIW, I've always had the best luck with USB Support 1.3.5 with my Opti chip card. Granted, this is for Old World, but I can't imagine it would make a huge difference.
