Backlit Portable - No sound from speaker, jack works

Sorry for the late reply here, I haven't checked in on this thread in too long.  Yes, your image shows exactly where mine was open. 

Looks like we have two different issues going in this thread, with Alaska360 and ScutBoy having a bad speaker, and glay78 and I with that open trace.

I have a backlit portable that needs recapping, (logic board and display).  Do you do this kind of work?  Please let me know.

I’ve only done my own stuff. Would feel bad if I worked on someone else’s and messed something up! Plus, with the Portable there can be a lot more going on than just caps as all these threads show...
