Apple Logo-Branded Tool

looks like a knockoff manufactured to look like an apple product and likely sold as a "macbook upgrade tool." I doubt it has any actual link to apple but it's something useful so it's no big deal.
Actually it looks more like something you'd have gotten out of the Apple Catalog back in the '90s.
Pretty crappy, actually. They seem to go to the same place as everyone else does for the "your company's logo here!" shop.

I was looking at the current high end screw driver kits you can buy from Wiha. I was thoroughly unimpressed with their lack of attention to detail. I watched a review, and even when you buy a complete kit, they use non-uniform length shafts and non-uniform colors. Also, the stand they advertise isn't the stand you get when you buy it. I agreed with the reviewer. When you get 100 screw drivers and two of them have different colored plastic, it's annoying. Call it what you want, but it's damn annoying to me.
Seems like there's a market for a nice ESD safe screw driver set and stand with an Apple-esque attention to detail.
I don't know. I guess if I was CEO of a popular company making tools, I wouldn't let stuff like that slide.

Which set was it? I have bought quite a few Wiha sets and they all have worked well so far, but for my beaters I have stuck to Klein.
I'm sure they work fine, I'm just complaining about their lack of attention to detail.

Looks like they finally fixed the picture. It used to show a multi-tiered, clear acrylic stand which was useful for seeing screwdrivers. However, when you ordered it, you got that generic metal one that they now picture. In the set, one or two of the screw drivers had yellow instead of red plastics. They weren't special or anything, no different from the others. Just had yellow instead of red.
There also aren't any markings on the top of the pommel, which would be useful because the stand they now give you is neither tiered nor transparent, so it's more difficult to see which screwdriver you need.
Like I said, I'm sure they're fine, but if I were making them, not only would I put the screwdriver type on the pommel, I'd probably make the plastics different colors for each type of screwdriver (slot, philips, torx, etc.) So a torx would be blue plastics with a "T15" on the top of the pommel, and maybe philips would be red plastics with a "P00" on the top. I'd also have rubber grips.
Little things like that.

Oh I see, I actually got the older version of the ESD version of this set with the acrylic stand, but that was 6 years ago, and I see they messed up the silk screened colors on the new ones. I agree they should have the pommels labeled with type and size. I think I never thought about that then because I got pouches and split them into type sets and then made p-touch fabric labels. My larger insulated soft grip sets do have proper labels on top. It could just be that the smaller ones are too costly to label.
I checked my ESD Felo tools too, and they do not have any labeling on the pommel.
