Okay, now it's getting serious... I've installed my Uther card in a 64K IIe with a single 140K drive. It's possibly the slowest server on the planet, and is very likely one of the oldest.

It's running Contiki Web Server version 2.0, which seems a bit more stable than 1.3. Anyway, I'm hoping a few of you will hit it over the remainder of the weekend so I can see how it holds up...

Did I mention it's really slow?

It seems quite finicky as far as browsers go... here's what I've tried

IE5 excellent

Safari so-so

Firefox terrible

Lynx pants

Not tooooo slow.
I've been tweaking the HTML... it's rather fussy about hyperlinks being in lowercase and tags being all uppercase. I think I'll have to ditch the linked stylesheet and embedded images though. Early days yet...

"Loading LUDDITE'S AMAZING APPLE IIE WEB SERVER" - 8:50pm.

Starts quoting Al Gore, swears to hunt down ManBearPig - 8:57pm.

Finished loading LUDDITE'S AMAZING APPLE IIE WEB SERVER - 9:00pm

exaggerated yes, but still...i'm super serial.

that is impressive though luddite, very cool.

Oh, and the "Visual" page brings up a broken image link, and clicking on the image brings you to a dead link.

Wait - how is your GS on a network? Did they make ethernet cards for it??
It's not, yet. I got the GS and a "box o' stuff" several years ago, and I recognized one of the things in the box as an ethernet card. I've never tried it out.

I really need about a 2 week vacation without distraction so that I can "geek out" and get some projects done. :)

It's probably a LANceGS card, since the Uther would have been quite new and unlikely to be found in a "box o' stuff". It will also work with Contiki AFAIK.
