When did Apple start selling software applications in competition with third parties? We all know MacWrite and MacPaint came with the first 128K & 512K Macs, but had to be purchased with the Plus. Of course Apple sold the Lisa package with the Lisa and later unbundled it to drop the price and sold it separately. Apple produced AppleWorks for the II series, but was it included with purchase or sold separately? Did Apple sell any software before AppleWorks? Is there a good list somewhere?
