If you go to the garden, and get the dark_castle_complete_archive.zip, it contains the original two 400K floppy images, and even image scans of the labels.
Good catch re: the virus - I just ran disinfectant on the 400K images (the ones from the "complete archive") and it appears that the Desktop files on both #1 and #2 are infected. Only the Desktop file, none of the other files on disk. The date of infection is quite old (2001), so it must have occurred before the author of the archive did his archive in 2012.
Anyone have advice for disinfecting a virus on a locked disk image? It should be easy enough to delete and rebuild the infected Desktop file, but the trick is not getting one's system infected in the process.
If it's the Desktop file, then it sounds like it could be the WDEF virus. In that case, disinfect it under System 7-- IIRC System 7 and higher is immume to WDEF.
