Anybody Have A Quark QC10?

This QC10 on ebay appears to be an upgraded, retorfit floppy disk model.

Anybody know if Quark sold them this way? with all the holes in the box it sure seems like a home-brew job. Wonder of the original circuitry is still inside and all that's needed are to replace the connectors, or if the entire circuit board was replaced?

Doesn't look home-brew to me... my guess would be that they used the same back panel for both the SCSI version (as pictured) and the Smart Port version for the IIc. The IIc version would have a DB19 connector instead of the SCSI ports (and, obviously, different internal circuitry).

Possibly. But you'll note this thoroughly documented QC10 webpage lists the model as QC10 Rev. A as well. One would think that they would have changed the model number, as it could otherwise be a little confusing. Then again, maybe not, APple certainly did it into the 90s. However, I did a Google search and QC10 and SCSI did not turn up any references, not that that means anything either given the age and relative obscurity.WIther way, I'm inclined to believe there would not be any dual circuitry in there.

Looks like you're right... after reading the manual I'm inclined to agree it's a retrofit, in which case there's probably little chance of the original circuitry being in the box.
