Analog Board Cable Length and Timing . . .

. . . just how critical is the cable's length in terms of the Video Display and possible signal timing errors?

Would adding an extension to the SE/30's A/B Cable be in the realm of the possible, inadvisable or unthinkable? :?:

As long as you have filters on both ends your fine. Wires act as antennas so the longer the wire, the more noise it picks up, and the more critical filters would be needed.

Everything should be fine. If its too long, youll just get ghosting in the image, as the ghosting is actually the signal bouncing back and forth (reflections) in the wire, as the impedance is now incorrect.

I think it had something to do with applying some of the SuperIIsi™ Hackage to the SE/30 and routing the cable around an expansion Card above the MoBo . . .

. . . or something equally silly! :approve:
